As a curious artist, always wanting to try new ideas and inspired
by my time as a elementary art teacher, I’m currently exploring brush strokes.

Using color, shapes, patterns and composition,
I allow the intuition and freedom that children naturally embrace,
to bring my brush strokes into focus, highlighting their beauty.

After covering my canvas with thick layers of paint, using a hardened round brush,
I run the brush over the canvas, creating deep, random grooves.
After the canvas dries, I return to “color in the lines.”

The process is meditative and relaxing when I let go of the ego
and allow my inner child to flourish.
